On the Road to Venezia

Hey everyone!

Right now I'm on the bus on the way to Venezia. It's really cool that I have this internet stick so I can be connected right now! I think we're almost to Bologna but the Appennini Mountains were pretty cool. Everything is snow covered right now. Apparently it's going to be really cold in Venezia, almost cold enough to snow, which is crazy! Luckily I am prepared for the cold.

Great news though! Praise God! Yesterday morning, one of the guys at the breakfast table told me about this camera store by the Duomo I should check out, so yesterday afternoon I went to that store. I started looking around at the wall displays and didn't see any chargers that would work for the battery. So reluctantly, I looked at new cameras. When I asked the clerk how much a Sony camera was, he came over to open the display case. As he was doing that, I got out my camera and took out the battery and explained how I had left my charger at home and didn't see any on the walls that would fit it. Well, he took the battery from my hand, looked at it, and started going through this storage drawers I hadn't seen. Then, he pulled out a box, put it on the counter, took out the charger and popped the battery right in! So now the camera battery is all charged and ready to go to take pictures in Venezia! Forgetting the charger at home wasn't a cheap mistake (the new charger cost 39,90 euro) but it at least wasn't as costly as I had originally thought!

Now that I have more reliable internet, I'll be trying to update the blog more regularly and now I can get back to taking pictures as well.

Well, that's about it for now. Love and miss you all!

Daniel

  2. I am so glad you were able to get a charger. I think the camera is almost 4 years old so I wasn't sure if you would even be able to find a charger for it. Can't wait to see some pictures. :-)

It's been a long week since the new semester started on Tuesday and I am now teaching the Communications Theater class. It'll keep me on my toes! Lots of love to you!
